Music of the Week: Soul Music

There is something about soul music that just slowly eases any form of stress out of your body.

It just makes everything calm and zen; for as long as possible.

At least until someone taps you and unknowingly jolts you back to the hustle and bustle around you.

Well, my "Music of the Week" gives me that serenity and I hope it does the same for YOU; especially with all the mid-week deadlines that may be "choking" you right now.

Just take some minutes, plug in your ear phones and relax.

I used to be Sad

I am strongly of the opinion that; Knowledge / Experience hoarded is equivalent to not having that Knowledge / Experience in the first place.

So I wrote this piece with the hope that someone out there will read it, identify with where I was and smile; knowing  that tomorrow  will be much better if you choose to work hard at it.

I also want YOU to share in my perfect imperfect journey through life and enjoy every bit of it as I am :).

A Year Ago

I woke up this morning and the air seemed sweeter, the sun rays felt like the feel of satin on my delicate skin.

At first I thought I probably just woke up on the right side of my bed.

Until, I remembered today's date and what it means to me.

But that was until I really sat down and thought about the question.

Really what will be written on your tombstone?

That simple yet disturbing (since no one wants to die) question defines your purpose on earth.

Its simply asks :

Why are you here?

What will be your story when you are gone?

What footprints will you leave on earth?

I simply love the soul in her music.

Weekend Nugget #1

Connecting to intention means listening to your heart and conducting yourself based on what your inner voice tells you is your purpose here.

If you are overly concerned with how you are going to be perceived by everyone, then you have disconnected your from "intention" and allowed the opinions of others to guide you.

Do what you do simply because your inner voice is connected to it.

According to reports and her social media administrator, she died shortly after arriving Lagos from LA.

A playful idea crafted out of my need to write and most importantly share ideas and articles that will leave a positive impression on my audience is gradually leaving its infancy phase.

I just couldn't wait until Wednesday to share this song (just incase you have not noticed, I am a "music addict").

And this is presently one of my favourite songs.

In Nigerian Slang; just listening to it gingers my swagger.

It inspires me to go out there, own it and be on fire!!!.

So someone in a "kind" way suggested that I become a clone of Linda Ikeji.

And although Linda is someone I can learn from and admire based on her ability to effectively engage her audience via her blog posts.
